Free vs Ad-Free
The FREE version of Dolphin comes with Boonexxx ads throughout the footers, in all the Ray widgets, etc. You register your Ray Widgets and get codes to use them, but they will always display Boonex ads and links. You are required to keep these ads and links on your site by virtue of the licensing agreement for the Free version of Dolphin and Ray Suite. You can choose not to use any or all of the Ray widgets, but the Dolphin itself will always display ads and links.
The Ad-Free version is identical, but you pay to have no ads by purchasing annual licenses for the widgets and Dolphin itself. I think the annual licenses are still $39, (at least they were when I purchased MINE). Once you've purchased your licenses for Dolphin and the Ray widgets, you will get license keys that you install.
The pros for the Ad-Free version are obvious, no ads for someone else's sites or products, no link-backs which could slow your site load times, and no additional space taken up by the addition of the ads to the Widgets.
Of course the Pros for the Free version are it's FREE.
If at first you don't succeed, go to a forum and ask like hell. (Using Joomla 1.5.18, JomSocial 1.6.12, Fully Customized)
