    Default v3.3 to v4.1

Has anyone done this? I'm about to take the plunge. Is there a step-by-step guide for this yet? I don't have phpmyadmin installed on my dedicated server yet, but will I need that?

I havent yet. I am still runnig 3.2, and was thinking of upgrading soon, but I was thinking of just taking it step by step, fyrst from 3.2 to 3.3 and then to 4 and etc. etc... because AE has instrutions on how to upgrade version to version but not by jumping over versions

Dont know if this will work... but sure it will give me a big headache

I'm in the same position....need to go from 3.3 to 4.1 and I gave it try on a test DB and blew it all up I forgot the changes for patch 0001 & 0002 for vers 4.0

    Might try again this week.

But as I understand it you will lose all your GOLD members doing this anyway

AEWeirdWorks will kindly do it for you for $180 + $50

This thread will take your database from an older release to v4.0 patch 1.

Upgrade Database from older versions to v4

Then, you can apply the v4.0 patch 1 to v4.02 patch 2 upgrades (info on aeDatings Private Support forum)

Then, you can do the v4.0 patch 2 to v4.1 (IQ) upgrade, using their script.

I'll try to get the above thread updated at some point so it is more concise.

If you try this - do it on a COPY of your database - not the original - and do backups too!
