Thread: Lost my hard drive...

Lost my hard drive before doing a current backup of my files. so I lost all the previous versions of Aedating I'd downloaded.

My installation is currently at 3.1 0002.
I have 3.3 and the latest 4.0

To upgrade, do I have to go to 3.2 first?


Meanwhile, let me email Aewenworks to see if they will send me the 3.2 without asking for money...

No... you could go to v4... but you will have to do a bit more work.

How many users do (did) you have?

I did some work today on some upgrade scripts - but they are not ready for general consumption.

It would be nice if aeWebworks supplied the scripts for upgrading... but since they are charging $180 (???, this is what I heard) to do it - I don't see how they could release them for free in the future without making the people who do pay them for this work angry.

I would expect this to be free.... if not, I'm sure someone here can set you up with a copy, since you are a paying, licensed user, and all.

Been trying since July 15 to have the Aewebworks guys send me 3.2 to no avail. They pop into the member area, and respond without actually digesting your post, so 90% of the time, their providing links to threads that do not address your question or have no bearing whatsoever on it. Its like they have no time for people using their apps. 4 responses to a thread and non of them provides the answer.

I represented my request to have 3.2 sent to me since I know I have to go through the 3.2, 3.3 and 4.0 progression to upgrade. It is dicey enough upgrading this app. I do not intend to experiment with it.

I have 3.3 and 4.0/4.01. 3.2 is no longer in the download area and I lost my copy on my hard drive. I hate to ask, but if anyone can help... I know how this sounds. I'm still hoping the powers that be at aewebworks will respond with the file. I don't like complicating my life...

Here you go. Download Version 3.2 here. Please scan the zip with a virus scanner first. Although I know my computer is virus free still please check it yourself. Waiting for aewebworks is going to take ages. Enjoy.
