Looks good Smoge. What are you going to use as the software behind the actual snoodoo website? Customised 5.6.5 (inc security fixes)? Customised GPLDATE2 (inc security fixes)?
Regarding the software offering itself I assume you are going to clean out that awful Orca forum. Why reinvent the wheel when there is already awesome forum software out there.

    It is modified Dolphin 5.6.5

GPLDATE was based on Dolphin 5.3 - so we are not using that as a base.

Yes, ORCA and RAY already removed.

We are replacing the RAY stuff with other similar applications. We may integrate UserPlane (they have 25 connections for free, for IM and CHAT), or use something else, decision not yet made.

As for Video - we already started that - using FFMPEG and FLOWPLAYER right now.

As for replacing ORCA (Forum), we have not decided yet, if we just write our own fast, easy to code/modify forum - or use some 3rd party application. I would rather we do our own... but the decision has not been made yet by the team.

    Hi Smoge,

Do you have an update for us on your Snoodoo project?

I am looking forward to your release. I feel it will be more user friendly than D7. Have a bare bones core and work from there. Keep the code simple.

The image file management you are proposing makes more sense to me. Why Boonex have the need for 5 files per image seems a waste.

Boonex make it a nightmare to keep up with their changes and I do feel you would have a lot of people using your product. More interest would be generated once things got rolling along. Good luck with it.
