    Default tweeks?

    How can I reduce disk I/O, network I/O, database utilization, and CPU time.
    Are there any simple things I can do to reduce server load?

    Use faster hard drives (15K SCSI or SAS drives).
    Use a RAID 10 array
    Increase server memory
    Turn on your mySQL slow-log and optimize the slow mySQL queries.
