Thread: I got hacked! Great :(

Well I think that the Dolphin script has a huge holes in it's code...
After nearly a week of my site online - all my profils has been deleted today!
Either from the admin control panel or from the database... The server has a good secure systems so there is not other way it could be hacked then the script by itself I am flustrated... I think I'll have to look for a better script now Ehhh... two weeks of hard work in making the site is waisted

Whats was the version of the script ?
Any ideas how they got access ?
Also whats your url ?

Well it was the latest version: 5.6.0005
I think the hacker must have logged in on the admin control panel or the moderator. At first all the registered users got their e-mail confirmation letter and after that all users were deleted. That is why I think someone was "playing" in the mod/admin control panel...
Are there any logs the script makes or sth like that? I really do not know what to do... stay with the dolphin or find another script and delay the start of the site again
The url of the site that was hacked is a homo dating site www.gay4you.pl but I was also planning to run the same script on a hetero dating site flirt4you.pl - now I really do not know what to do....

nice site if i where u i would keep on going change all your passwords and login info everywhere and in the server too. you must save the database at all times and the site also.

BTW: Do you know how I can include external files to the templates (sth like normal <?php include('http://www....'); ?>) ?

I been working on my site for about 3 months and working on it now.

Thats the Point Dude ...before you go to Bed and turn off the Lights make it to your daily Ritual to Backup all Files including an SQL-Dump.

Costs you 5 Minutes of Time, but thats worth for all the Work you invest.

Also to prevent Hackers having Fun on your Costs, check the whole Systems Chmod Permissions set, especially that the Admin-Files are not executable to the Public.

That's right backup your sh#t. I has a server host that suspended my account because they did not handle dating site's like mine. And I had 5 hours to backup everything. I was dealing with that host for 3 years with other sites. I backed up everything cancled the account got another and better host that deals with this type of sties. I had to do 2 months of work in 3 days. I was crying like a baby. I had over 1000 users at the time. They where like what the fu##k. . After I got evreything up and running in a couple of days I got over 10 people that suspended ther accounts.
