Ray Shoutbox - non English

I have a problem with Ray Shoutbox. My users are angry that Shoutbox do not support non english typing - for example Bulgarian /cyrillic/. Can someone help me ?

For starters - make sure your database table for this is UTF8.

It is but the type box does not allow me to write in bulgarian. If I copy bulgarian text and paste it there is is ok but if i have to write - no way

It could be - RAY is not coded correctly for UTF-8... which I assume is what you want to use... but what I would also check is your BROWSER PAGE ENCODING - you can usually see this in your browser tabs - see if it is set to UTF-8 (Unicode) and if not, try changing it manually and reloading the page... you can also force this with META settings in your header files... if not correctly set to the page encoding you need.

Just some ideas.

Unfortunately no success with this - my encoding is correct - UTF-8. But the typing box of the shoutbox does not allow to type in Cyrillic . The interesting is that if I copy Cyrillic text from somewhere else and paste it in the box - it is ok and working. But if you try to type in Cyrillic in the box - it types in English under Firefox and uncnown charracters under IE

Did you open a ticket with BOONEX support about this? If it is a true problem - they should have a fix or a configuration suggestion.
