Ray IM not working in IE6, Firefox, but OK in Safari

Hi Smoge and co.

I have two installs of Dolphin 6.0.2 on two different servers (test and live). On my PC, in test, Ray IM works both browsers and also works on Mac Safari. On my PC in live, it stopped working in Firefox and IE6. But it still works in Safari.

This is what happens: I click the "Chat now" or IM now" links in IE/FF and nothing happens. But when I am sent an IM from Safari, the "Accept or Decline" window does pop up. I click Accept and nothing happens.

Chat appears to be working fine.

Ray suite is registered, enabled, and Base settings are the same for both installs. Ray IM is allowed in standard member level (which everybody has) and enabled in Advanced Settings.

Can you possibly tell me where we broke this, if that's what happened? And maybe give me the correct chunk of code?

We found the problem. Ray was still pointing to the IP address and not to the domain name so we manually changed that. Obviously Safari's smarter than IE and FF. Duh.

Could you please mention a bit detail? Where did you fix the code Chat and IM to work in both IE/FF? I also face the same problem like you. I still cannot find the solution.

Hi WMA. It's in a PHP file, I don't remember which one! If you search for your IP address, you'll find the file and can then change it to the domain name. I don't know if you have the exact same problem. We had this problem because we had launched the site using an IP address before the DNS transfer of the domain was complete. Hope that helps.
