Lots of site use PayPal... just go ahead and use it.

We have one site we support, which does 10K to 14K a day using PayPal.

Paypal will only give you problems if you have a lot of chargebacks, and even with that, before they drop you, they will just ask you to have a "reserve" to cover your chargeback level.

DO NOT USE Paypal. I repeat DO NOT use Paypal!!

We were running fine with them for over three months, and then over a course of a few days we got hit with 7 chargebacks together. We had NO chargebacks until that time. Out of those 7, 5 chargebacks were from 2 people who had disputed their recurring payments. Paypal locked us out and 10K of our money. We have to wait 6 months till we see the money that was in our account. There was no discussion about whether we have any reserves or anything. They just shut us down and we lost all our recurring payments as well. Paypal does not understand non-tangilble goods and subscription based billing. DO NOT use paypall if you value your business.

We have sites that run 10K to 18K a day through PayPal (new orders, both one time and re-occurring), everyday, 365 days a year.

I think a big part of it is how you respond to, and deal with, chargebacks - your attitude about them, and your Terms and Conditions - and how clear they are (and easy to see) at checkout time.
