I'm setting up a private site where I want it so that every member is a paying one. Only homepage is accessable for non-members and search facility etc on homepage only work for members signed in.

What I want is that when someone clicks on "Join", the payment function opens allowing prospective member to purchase a set number of credits. Once paid for, the person becomes a member (gold) and can fill out his/her profile details. The credits are used for contacting other members. Further credits can be purchased where necessary.

I am a newbie and would not consider trying this mod(s) myself unless there is simple well defined script changes that can be easy explained and followed.

Is there anyone out there willing and able to help me? I am willing to pay for the help if price is reasonable.

This can be easily done by adding the standard aeDating logged in member check to each page you want to restrict, and checking for gold membership.

So you want them to pay before they can fill out their profile? Without making a bunch of changes, you need to allow them to submit some of the basic profile questions - such as nickname, email, password and a few others.

When you say contacting other members, do you mean sending messages? This is built into aeDating already, but it does need some changes to make work. I am using such a system on my v3.1 site now, at 4 credits a message - and it works ok.

What is your expected budget for such a mod?

I was thinking of clicking on "join" opening my Paypal and then returning to profile fill page after payment has been done with bunch of changes if necessary.

Yes, 5 credits a message but also 1 credit for kisses (to be defined later). The girl's profiles in my site are entered by agents in a foreign country so each "contact" has to be passed on. Imagine paying to get into a club and payment includes credits or 5 free drinks. Further drinks can then be purchased if needed once in the club.

The figure that comes straight into my head is $50 but this is negociable.

Hi,

I don't think $50 would cover these changes, including testing.

And the paypal stuff would need some work... as your method is "backwards" from the normal aeDating.... pay first, then make a profile.
