Writing this as a warning to all who plan to buy 123flashchat.
I bought 123flashchat the 2006-11-3 including 1 year of free support and upgrade.
Have been satisfied with the product now seen away from very slow answer from support.
The 02 Jul 2008 I renewed free upgrade and support and paid 100USD for one year. For 2 weeks ago I ordered an upgrade, which I thought was free since I had paid for 1 year. The answer I get from 123flashchat support is that this was only to 2008-11-3 for the counting from the date I bought the chat and that I had ordered a 1 year support and upgrade from 2 July, played no role. I've emailed back and forth with support, and also chat with the representative of the support, Baboo on MSN
They refer constantly to their FAQ and policy. In the FAQ and the policy says nothing about this.
What they wrote to me when I asked to have it was written:
"When the certain free update and support period exceeds, you'll be charged for updates and supports and that will be 20% of the original license fee per year."
And this says nothing about that it comes from the date I bought chat, and not from the date I purchased the upgrade and support.
Here is one of the questions I asked Baboo on MSN:
“I say:So you really mean that if a customer order a renew of his support and upgrade after 4 years he must pay for all this years he do not have support???
Knut bamboo according to the policy of the company, they need.But Joy I hope you can answer it”
Joy confirmed what Bamboo write to me.
One proof that 123flashchat is wrong is that the boss, Joy Wang will change their policy and FAQ on their website.
From one of the email I get from here:
"However you're right that we should make it more clear to customers, I'll inform my staff to update the relative FAQ item today."
This shows, in my opinion that 123flashchat is frivolous and not to rely on.
