Thread: How can I show news on a different page?

I have installed Dolphin under sub folder called community/ but I have a main index.php page for my main site that I would like to show the 5 most recent news items from the news portion of the dolphin script. Would this be possible and how?
My site is located at Kandiarea - Your online community for Kandiayohi County and surrounding areas. and the dolphin script is located at Kandiarea Community

I also want to be able to show a mini calendar based on the events calendar to show events from my main page. And I would also like to pull the newest member to be displayed on my main page. I cannot seem to get this to work without pulling the whole dolphin index page with them. Can anyone help?
