Thread: page not found

I am using 6.1.4 and just started having problems with this when I installed it on a host that supports ffmpeg. my video page, music page, profile page, blog, wait, all my tabs come back with a 404 page not found, I have searched here and on expertz, followed the instructions, changed the .htaccess as well as the modrewrite, still nothing, had this site up for 4 months without the video use, never had a problem, worked great, but now i can use it and I have a problem, please help

Are you sure MOD_REWRITE is enabled on your host?

Is your .htaccess file with the mod_rewrite code in place and readable by your web server?

You can try turning off "friendly perma-links - mod_rewrite" in Dolphin admin - see if that helps.

I have tried turning off all the permalinks, and still get the same problem, I have talked with my host and they have given me acces to my .htaccess, they do allow it and I have tried all the different way to try and correct it, How do I find the mod_rewrite friendly permalink, I have found all the rest, but they do not work

If it does not work, it can really only be a few things:

a) your .htaccess does not contain the mod_rewrite settings
b) your host does not support mod_rewrite
c) your file permissions and or ownerships are wrong.
d) your hosting is substandard, and you need a new host.
