    Default phpbb2 database problem

just updated to the latest version of phpbb2 due to security issues.
had backed up the phpbb_posts_text table and all other required tables. installed all the tables fine. But cannot see any text in my forum. everything else is there the categories the groups the users etc. but when I open the messages no content is dispalyed. I have checked the mysql tables all the data is present. any ideas as to why this is happening.
    thanks

    Default Useless information

    Mike
Your mod has got nothing to do with why my backed up sql command for a mysql table of phpbb2 does not display.
Nothing to do with your MOD as the phpbb2 is a separate install.
And not even integrated with aedating as yet.
Is this how you try to sell you products by giving false information to beginners about how to rectify problems ?

    Default hi

If you did not have all the information you should ask questions to clarify the issue.
My question is pretty self explanatory.
And even if I use your mod why should it solve my problem. Now if you think this is too little information for you......................be responsible and just donot state your mod will fix it.

The last time I was in the phpBB forums, I saw some posts like this, with the same problems you mentioned (if I am not mistaken).

I am tired now, it's been a long day - but I will take a few minutes and look on phpbb.com and see if I see anything that could be the cause of this before I go to bed.

    Hi,

Did you follow these instructions for the upgrade?

    http://www.phpbbhelp.org/updating.php?mode=short

I think this part maybe important... did you skip it?

    Smoge

    4) Run "update_to_latest.php"
Now that you have updated your forum's files, you need to update the database. Failure to complete this step, results in the infamous sessions error as well as other errors. In step 3, you uploaded an "install" folder. Inside the folder there is a single file: update_to_latest.php. To run this file you need to point to it using your browser. For example, if you website is http://www.yoursite.com and the folder where your forum files are held is called "phpBB", then you would go to http://www.yoursite.com/phpBB/instal..._to_latest.php to run the file. If your site is http://www.mysite.com and your forum files are in the folder "forum", you would go to http://www.mysite.com/forum/install/..._to_latest.php to run the file.
