Smile ray and installation of ray pro

    hello,
I have a question about installing ray pro:
in admin panel, I checked the box "enable pro ray (should be installed and should be enabled ray)"
before making a mistake, or do I install ray pro?
dolphin in the directory, there is already a folder named "Ray" (www.mysite.com/members/ [dolphin folders, and "ray" directory]
or must put it in the root of my site? ([www.mysite .com / ray (Ray pro folders) /)?

    thanks for all

(ps; excuse my bad english, i use a translator software, i'm speaking french)

    Default Install Ray Pro first.

"Ray Pro" is just a renamed Red5 Flash Media Server, which is required for all of your Ray applications. Installing it is not a walk in the park, but for a free media server, it will do the job. It should be installed on your server by following the installation directions. If you need assistance with that, check out the Red5 site. (You can find it by doing a search for Red5). The "Ray" folder on your installed site is the directory containing all of your Ray Widgets which you will be using on your site. Once you have installed your "Ray Pro" then you will need to go back to your admin page, enable it there, and then begin the process of registering all of your Ray Widgets and checking them to see if they will actually work. Another option for you is to just get paid Red5 Media Server Hosting (check with Smoge here by opening up a Ticket if that's the way you wish to go, it's simpler, faster, and of course reliable, so the trade-off is you pay for the Red5 Server Hosting, but you don't have to pull your hair out trying to figure out how to install and make it work. And a caveat is that a LOT of hosting providers do not by default have your server set up to easily install and use Ray Pro.) My experiences with it is that it does work, but on a production site where your members are going to actually be using the stuff, you may want to look at some other apps.
If at first you don't succeed, go to a forum and ask like hell. (Using Joomla 1.5.18, JomSocial 1.6.12, Fully Customized)
