Thread: Have your members increase your web presence

Here's a tip for you that are trying to drive more traffic to your site, and it's easy to do. The absolute best way to get more traffic to your site is to have your site linked from as many other sites as possible to increase the importance of your site to search engines. This is known as SEO or Search Engine Optimization. Most search engines have turned to Google's ranking system which ranks your site like this.

What I've done is given my members the ability to list their site links in a block on the home and their member account pages. They submit the link to us, we check it out and if approved, add it to the block as an HTML link. All this can be done using the new block builder in admin, and the link feature. You could go so far as to ad small snapshots of the site page. This gives your member's the incentive to add your site on theirs and of course the links back to your site. Very similar to the affiliates program without all the work.

Thanks, that was good read....I am launching later this year. August for student networking portal, if I can iron out the bugs lol! Make one change, get three bugs....kill the bugs I say!!! lol. Thanks for info
