Thread: Date of Birth - issues

Hey folks,

two little riddles here:

1st: when a member tries to edit the date of birth a change is not possible. after sending "save" a red box appears with no text in it and the date is not changed at all. In profile fields of the admin every visible- editiable and show on page option is checked. in the DB as well (profilesdesc => visible; show on page).

2nd: when viewing other people's profile the month is missing in it. It looks like this: Date of birth 1984 - - 15


any idea how to solve these riddles?

I have not heard this reported by anyone yet - so unless someone else can confirm that it is a bug in a standard install of dolphin - I suspect you may have made changes to code or the database that has broken it.

Did you delete, hide, or move around any of your fields in ProfilesDesc? Or make other hanges to the database?

well, yes, it worked before I put my fingers on the DB and admin panel. I did some changes in the profilesDesc and changed the value of Children and WhereChildren, so only the admin would see it. Thats probably not where the failure is.

In the admin panel I was changing some things in profile fields and split join (changing positions of fields in the profile, made some fields unvisible). I guess that might have mixed it up. Is there a possibility to reset these values to standard? Maybe that would be the cleanest solution...

In mine on ae you can click in admin panel from split join page a link reset join form to default yours should have it..........

But then you have to start over....for that end of it

I just put back from database backup......figured leave it the way it is for now.

Did you find out which fields were causing the problems? I am having the same issues. Some fields that I created seem to be bobbled a lil. When members select 5 it shows on their profile as 7 Ect... Please advise.

Sorry, no idea. I started all over again and did careful modifications via the DB. In the first try I was messing around with split join and profile fields - but the result didn't quite satisfy me - as this thread shows
