Default CCBILL Mod - any that has rips mod

i recived this email from ccbill and wondered if/how it will affect Rip ccbill mod that most of us have

    Dear CCBill Client:

In an effort to improve the performance and redundancy of our transactional processing systems, we will soon institute a change in the numbering convention of our Subscription Identification (ID) Numbers. This change is important for you to note especially if your website(s) and/or system scripts are written to include our CCBill Subscription ID numbers.

In order to accommodate this update, please plan to make the appropriate changes to your systems by the scheduled implementation date of Thursday, September 7, 2006.

PLEASE NOTE: This change will not influence the historical subscription and reservations ID's prior to the above implementation date.

The following CCBill Client accessed systems will be affected by this change:

    1) System5 Web Admin
    2) Client Affiliate System
    3) DataLink Subscription Management System
    4) Subscription Notification Systems (Email, Background & Approval Posts)
    5) Subscription Upgrade System

With this change, CCBill Subscription ID's will support the following new format:

0006100101000000001 - First 2 Digits are the Station ID

0006100101000000001 - Digits 3-4 are the last 2 digits of the current year

0006100101000000001 - Digits 5-7 are the Julian Date

    0006100101000000001 - Digit 8 is the Day of the Week (1=Monday, 2=Tuesday, 00000oooooo000000oooooo3=Wednesday, 4=Thursday, 5=Friday, 6=Saturday, 7=Sunday)

    0006100101000000001 - Digits 9-10 are the Payment Method (1=Credit, 2=Test, 3=User
    00000oooooo000000ooooooManagement, 6=ACH,7=Telephone Billing)

    0006100101000000001 - Digits 11- 19 are the Subscription ID
oooo0ooo000oooooo000ooounique to current station ID and Julian Date

Not sure how that would affect us/you?

Do you use the Subscription ID for anything? We use it purely for reference in our mod.
    Regards

Hi, I have talked to rip, The mod will be changed to accomidate this change. When?, I dont know, you would have to ask him that.

    Also,

Have any of you been getting any strange pass back characers? Like in your billing notes area, usually says $3.95 for 3 days then $15.95 recurring.

Just in the last month it now displays a few added characters like

##&$$3.95 for 3 days (trial) then $15.95 recurring every 30 days

This appears to be ccbill passing this thru the datalink system. Rip sayed he bitched at them and it has stopped on his site. Maybe i should call and bitch? LOL

    Anyone else get this?

hey sorry been away for few days
i never recieved anything like this seems strange

    Hi

    Email him here root@zerothree.us

You have to really hound him at times to get a reply. I just got a reply 2 days ago and he said he would do up the code in the next few weeks and it would be a SIMPLE mod for anyone using his mod to update it.

But rip can be slow on replies and when you think he is doing something, He isnt, And i dont know about you, but this is the heart of my site! ( THE CHECKOUTS! ). So we better get our selves a backup plan in force just in case rip does not pull thru on this.

Perhaps 3 or 4 of us put our funds together and get smoge to do this mod if rip does not pull thru.

I dont care who does it, Just as long as my checkouts still work and the subscription data is passed thru the ccbill.com datalink system like it does now.

But i think this is important for us all as this is a serious issue. Just what if you, me and a few others checkouts stopped working due to ccbill.com changing the way there datalink system shares data and our old code has not been updated? I can imagine this would be a rather serious issue.

But email him at that above email, Try to get in touch with him.

If he doesnt pull thru, We need to put our money together and get rob to do this.

From what i can tell, Its a simple mod. I do know this as i studdied rips mod a little when i transfered the entire mod over to planetbareback.net about all that would need changing to prevent this occurance when ccbill changes its datalink system is the pre_checkout.php and post_checkout.php files. The rest of the entire mod internally thru the entire site doesnt need touching from what i can see. If ccbill sends instructions on how exactly there change is going to be, i may even be able to make this change to the code. But need more detailed instructions from ccbill on there exact changes to the ccbill.com datalink system.
i contact him i think he have the update as hes own site relies on membership payments to
if anyone recieves a reply or the update then post it here but if the worst comes to the worst we will have to get rob to give use a price and split the cost
i update this thread when i get a reply but ccbill are switching to the new way september the 1st

Well we all have to pull thru since our checkouts are relying on this subscription #.

Lets give all the benefit of the doubt and lets still consider rip being the man that will fix it.

Like Stevie said, His site uses this same mod so he has to do something with the code if he himself wants his site to handle ccbill transactions thru the datalink.

But like I said, Rip can be slow on things. I can picture my checkouts being broken and not working and 2 weeks after that Rip finally gets the code out. And in reality, Thats just to late for me. So on initial date ccbill makes this change i am in hi hopes we have some code to test from rip.

On this date if i dont have code to test, I will or WE should, all of us should take second measures to ensure our checkouts continue to work. 1 day of error rebills and this can drastically, mess up the datalink end for your account on even future rebills. SO this needs to seemlessly change!..

Does anyone have the originall Email from ccbill? Reason i ask, Is i need that email if someone will send it to me. I need to study the new subscription cordinates for CCBILL datalink and read the datalink manual i have here.
forward it onto you from s3online@msn.com
