Thread: CCBILL Mod - any that has rips mod

Only 1 file i think, but the person who does it has to understand the CCBILL datalink system well.

The manual is quite a few pages long. Wich can be download from your cpanel at ccbill. Its a very comprehensive system the data link is.
I have talked to rob about this, so they are aware of this.

Still no word from rip here, So if you here from him let us know.

cant understand as rips site uses the same script so he must need the update himself

I got Rip, He called me back

He has the new code waiting to be tested but this can not be tested untill day 7 when the changes takes place. He is certain the new code will work though but no since in passing it out till day 7 when CCBILL changes there subscription # processing ways and see how it works.

But he did get in touch with me and said not to worry.

Now i feel better!

He is dam hard man to get in touch with!

Procedure:
1) Back Up Database! (and store in a safe place)
2) Back up Site! (and store in a safe place)
3) In the AED Admin Panel, go to section titled: 'Profile Fields'
4) Locate field for 'ccbill'
5) Locate entry for 'Edit Box Length' 
6) Change this # from a 12 to a 20
7) Locate entry for 'Max Length'
8) Change this # from a 12 to a 20
9) Click 'Update'
10) Open 'phpMyAdmin' application
11) Run the following Queries against your Database
ALTER TABLE `Chargeback` CHANGE `subid` `subid` VARCHAR( 20 ) NOT NULL 
ALTER TABLE `Expired` CHANGE `subid` `subid` VARCHAR( 20 ) NOT NULL
ALTER TABLE `Rebill` CHANGE `subid` `subid` VARCHAR( 20 ) NOT NULL 

12) You are done!

I have no choice but to use ccBill but I called them and talked to them for over an hour, they say that the new system will work on our site without any mod????? They (ccBill) will log in and there programmers do the work as part of the service (included) no additional cost to us, except VISA which is a damn shame RIP off.....They install the code and test the site afterwards...I have never used anyone anywhere before so I am a little worried about them doing this.......any info would be great...Jeff I added you to my Skype hope you do not mind.....Rick

Like Stevie said, His site uses this same mod so he has to do something with the code if he himself wants his site to handle ccbill transactions thru the datalink.

But like I said, Rip can be slow on things. I can picture my checkouts being broken and not working and 2 weeks after that Rip finally gets the code out. And in reality, Thats just to late for me. So on initial date ccbill makes this change i am in hi hopes we have some code to test from rip.

On this date if i dont have code to test, I will or WE should, all of us should take second measures to ensure our checkouts continue to work. 1 day of error rebills and this can drastically, mess up the datalink end for your account on even future rebills. SO this needs to seemlessly change!..

Does anyone have the originall Email from ccbill? Reason i ask, Is i need that email if someone will send it to me. I need to study the new subscription cordinates for CCBILL datalink and read the datalink manual i have here. o please forward it to me jeff@truckerjeff.com

I think what you will find Rick, is they will add a simple link to your site for free - but they will not integrate it into your membership system.

We had another guy recently signup with CCBILL - they told him the same thing... then, when they looked at the site - they said they could not help him.

I am afraid that this is sales hype - when it gets to their techs - they will kick it back to you with a "sorry - we don't integrate into dating sites (database) - you need to get someone else to do this".

We did not use Rip's mod for that guys site - but our own, standard payment processing mod that we use for all payment gateways.

This seems like a popular thread - I see people often looking at it in the online user log.

So I thought I should update it.

If you need CCBILL, or any other payment processor, added to your site... or changes to your current payment processor code, we are happy to help you with this.

Keep in mind however, that Payment processing coding is usually time consuming - as the code can be complicated and also it requires a fair amount of testing (this is very true with reoccurring payments) so you need a decent budget to add a payment processor to your site (around $500 or so, more or less depending on your exact needs). Also, changes or troubleshooting can take a fair amount of time also.

But nonetheless, we have added a lot of payment processors to sites in the past and done modifications to existing code, done troubleshooting, and so on, with Payment Processing, and are happy to help you with it if needed.
