Setting up a test server at home for boonex dolphin 5.2
So I got quite a bit of information from peeps here and am excited about opening my own site. I was thinking that I could use one of the PC's at home as a test server to test stuff before I roll it out to the hosting company.
Anybody done that before. Whats the best and simplest route to getting everything installed? I would guess the OS would be first so Red hat Enterprise Linux 4? [I have licenses] How about PHP and MySql. What would be the recommended version. I know about some package called LAMP. Will that work? Also are there any additional modules required for this to work properly? Cheers |
