Thread: Dolphin 6 or Dolphin 7

I am still trying to decide which to install...

I know D7.x has all the latest updates and features.
D7 mods are expensive and the shared ones are hard to find, even in this forum!

BUT

D6.x mods are easily obtainable online, even the paid ones can be had just by using google.

What do you guys think ?

My site is probably gonna grow to at least 3K members in one month, due to our current site that (non-dolphin) that has 12K members.

Umm,

With every New Version there are bugs to work out.

D7 new design and structure of website is clear, the way new dolphin handle menu system is much better now. New dolphin 7 is more usable and easier for users to use it, navigate and find stuff.

There are many things added, and a few that were dropped.

Not too many will create NEW mods for d6.1 so it may be a bit harder to get what you want to add to your site if you have 6.1.

I think D7 is not to bad, and improving. D 7.0.1 is around the corner already:

I think it would be best to move ahead, and not back but everyone has different opinions.

If D7 mods are too expensive for you, I have been known to give discounts from time to time on bulk orders. We have a list of current D7, and upcomming D7 mods. ( 6.1 ones of course too )

I just think the admin area, template design, mod installs via admin etc. is 100 times better then d6.1 ever was.

Much much easier to use.
