Thread: Sending Mail - Blocks - Lots Of Mail

I get people asking me all the time about how to send mail - and maybe lots of it - without getting blocked... and how they can send a lot from one server.

I thought I would post a recent reply here in the forums to remove some of the mystery.

If wanting to send a lot of mail, you don't need these services... they are way too expensive - $800 for 500,000 messages is a rip-off.

You can succesfully send a bunch of mail from a reasonably configured server - - if you are careful about it.

You need to provide OPT-IN and an easy one click way for recipients fo OPT-OUT.

Also Domain Keys, Reverse DNS, and SPF Records.

And it is also important you use VERP - as sending mail to non-existent accounts is considered very spammy behavior. We can add VERP support to most applications (sorry, we only do PHP scripts).

And yes, your mail needs to be legit... not spam!

If you get blocked - and you do above - you can get them cleared pretty easily.

With above, we have customers sending 10 million + messages a month - 350,000 a day.
