    Default files to enter Meta tags and SEO

    Anyone know the files that you can enter meta tags into? I know about the option in ADMIn, but i am wanting to add more that what it offers to add through ADMIn - like bot commands etc, etc - which are the files to enter this info into? i have seen it listed here somewhere but havent been able to locate it.

    Any help will be greatly appreciated!

    cheers!

    Default

    hello again - incase anyone needed to know i have altered this file to optimize my sites meta tags. I have a few SEO tricks im willing to share:

    The file to alter is:

    yourusername/public_html/templates/base/_header.html

    I use cpanelx, i dont know about other servers, ive only ever used cpanel, so if these directions dont help you, i cant....

    But go to the file, looks for this:

    HTML Code:
    <meta name="description" content="__meta_description__" />
    	<meta name="keywords" content="__meta_keywords__" />
    Enter this directly under it:

    HTML Code:
    <meta name="REVISIT-AFTER" content="7 days" />
    <meta name="ROBOTS" content="index,follow" />
    <meta name="ROBOTS_ALL" content="all" />
    And if your site is within the SE's rules for indexing, you should be indexed and updated every 7 days after being indexed. I know this works for a fact because i have been studying SEO for the last year, have owned many a websites and have picked up many tricks in the trade - this is just one of them.

    While ill never offer to sell such services, i will post about this if people are interested, as i see this isnt a cover subject as we all assume that admin panel/meta tags/ option will do the job, while it does, there is alot more you can do to gain higher ranking. Then once you do that go to this URL:

    http://www.freshtraffic.co.uk/metatags_extractor.htm

    ..and check your meta tags with the meta tags extractor and you will see the robot tags appear readable.

    Good Luck!

    And if you find this helpful, and you can help me in my questions, then look for them, they are all over the place...mainly in ray forum and dolphin 6.00xx

    Paying it forward....
