The problem with yours, unless I am missing something, is that you are only importing the Profiles table - and not doing anything at all with ProfilesDesc.

Also - what about all the other data? Messages and so on... all lost.

I don't think, free or not, it is a good option in it's current version.

Or maybe you can clarify it for me if I am missing something while reading your post/instructions.

I think paying 250$ is much worse and a waste of money.. but opinions

and if people want to preserve the other data they just need to backup tables and import them.. that tutorial only teaches to upgrade main things.. that are login.. photos.. and some of the data.

For anyone doing the manual upgrade from 5.6 to 6.x... you'll need to upload the media table from version 5.6 mysql thru phpmyadmin also, so that the profile pictures appear.

Pain in the butt, but works as described in this thread... thanks guys!
