Thread: boonex banners at bottom

How can these be removed? Seems silly that they are plastering their logos all over this script.

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

yeh and then they want $40 to get rid of them, so the script is not free for us, it provides free advertising for them, nothing is ever free is it?

i wonder what else happens with those callbacks to home? ip logging perhaps, browser details, what i ate for breakfast, who really knows.

it is free software source and as such can be modified can't it?

It's ok i figured out how to get rid of the box and banner at the bottom.

I don't know why you had trouble with this - Chainsmoker has had this mod for a couple of months now, for v5.1 and v5.2

All you needed to do was PM chainsmoker for the code.

I got the codes from chainsmoker, but for some reason all the codes i added didn't get rid of the banner an box at the bottom. So i ran a fresh setup with all his codes and edited another code in the sql file and it worked.

Tried it a couple of times, so not sure whats happened with chainsmokers code, maybe he left a bit out on the pm he sent me?

Hmmm... I think it is ok.

Did you use the NULL 5.2 code on 5.2?

I think you missed something... did the code he sent you say at the bottom "thats all folks" - did you get the whole thing?
