Thread: Progress on GPLdate

So - what's the current state of development on GPLdate?

I was hoping to test it out and if it stable / bug-free then I would try to combine it with code and features from other open source social networking script(s) like Mugshot and/or Elgg. PHPizabi is also interesting but it's not open source. Any release date on this? Anyone?

I don't intend to use this combined code base for my initial site, but it would be interesting to see how quickly one could combine these projects and I'm willing to put alot of time into it AND release the code.

Ha - so now people are hitting this thread again, in response to my post about BoonEx Dolphin 7 here:

So yes, GPLDATE from the past was based on 5.6.5.... and yes, going forward, we will base the code on 5.6.5 also.... not sure if the GPLDATE name will stick or not...

Things are a little new (the decision to dump Dolphin 7.0 support), so we need some days for things to develop.

Did you ever make a clean 5.6.5 ? I cant seem to find it....

We are working on something now, based on Dolphin 5.6.5 (GPL), and yes, it has Ray and Orca removed (so it is CLEAN).

However, we have some things we want to do to it - so the first release will not be for a while.

Also, the project has a new name, it is not GPLDATE (which was based on Dolphin 5.3).

A forum will go up about this new project in the future.

Actually, the current working name is no meaning... it is a nonsense word. We already own the domain - but have not yet decided if we will keep the working name or change it.
