Thread: Shorter Join Form

Can someone tell me what is involved or how to shorten the join form and change the relationship option to say something else.

I want just a short and sweet join form.

1: username or nick
2: password
3: your sex
4: what your looking for
5: your country
6: what type of relationship you want

And have it where the members can update all the other stuff once they login. Far as there ideal match est..

This is very easy if you use the aeDating v3.2 Profile Field Editor, in the admin panel.

You can control who sees the field:Visitor,Member,Admin
You can control on what page:All,Join page,View Profile page,Edit Profile page

De-select the Join page for the fields you dont want to show there.

Some of the fields you can not edit easily in the Admin Panel, you will need to use phpmyadmin and change the ProfilesDesc table... you will see much the same there, as on the Admin utility (except that All = 0, and the other pages are numbers, for the what page (show on) settings.

I just about got it the way I want it. I'm in phpmyadmin under ProfilesDesc table. Trying to locate where to drop and change some of the names for the relationship type.

I would like to rename some of those relationship options. And drop the ones I don't need.
