    Default Install UK postcodes

Installation.......................Is the process similar to usa postcodes. the jibble postcodes are different in that they only give you the postcode xy coordinates and the lattitude and longitude.
Do i just install this data and leave the rest. would be grateful if anybody could give me some ideas.

I have additional data which i could put here if needed
    "Altens",Aberdeen City,AB1
    "Auchlunies",Aberdeenshire,AB1
    "Banchory-Devenick",Aberdeenshire,AB1
    "Benthoul",Aberdeen City,AB1
    "Bieldside",Aberdeen City,AB1
    "Blacktop",Aberdeen City,AB1

as shown above about 27,000 entires.

THe jibble postcodes are about 2,823 entires of course the above entires could be matched, laborious and time consuming process.

any help on uk postcode installation woudl be greatly appreaciated.
    thanks

Yes - some people are asking about getting UK postcodes working - and if we are going to try to help here on MOD, we need the postcodes in a file.

Can someone supply them, or point us to where they are?

Does the aeDating Public forum have them?

    Default hi

yes i had the jibble codes but did not have them in a install file ie insert etc but was surprised when aedating offered the jibble codes as a install file. great stuff.
have installed them but getting them to work is a problem.
aedating are looking at them and hopefully will tell me what they did so i can post it here.
    thanks

So many people have problems with ZIP codes, I have added it to our internal tracking/work database as issue # 287

(PS - I hope to add the ability for mod users to view our IdeasSoft internal bug/work database soon... so you can see progress notes on various issues).

These ARE available as I made the effort to find the relevant department in Australia to obtain Long/Lat.

It took me nearly a month to find this info because AEW insisted it wasn't available.

I even got the head honcho's name, address, email and tele number but AEW claimed he did not return their messages. I think it was just a matter of them not wanting to pay for the data license

Default this has it all, but $$$$

Well, I found this website has most of the countries' postal code with long/Lat. But, they charge big BUCKS

    http://www.grcdi.nl/gfkmacon.htm

I wish I can get some european countries' zipcodes...I got many members from EU.

I also have Germany's zipcode with long/lat, but DB isn't compatible with Aedating...and column names are in german. So, we need someone's help to translate it.
