when I was reading about linking three domains to one database it gave me an idea. What if a few different people who owned similar sites, i.e dating sites
shared members thru symbolic links in there databases. If the each table had its own database they could share only the profile and member information and not have to share other information such as passwords or whatever. If it could be done properly messaging and chat features could be seamless and yet each site would remain as its own. I hope this makes sense.

Could do perhaps - but for media files - this is an issue - as they exist only one server... unless you use cloud storage like we do on some of our other accounts.
