Thread: Cron Daemon error in cmd.php

I keep getting this error. The folder permissions are correct and the cmd.php
permissions are the same as notifies and yet notifies works fine.
I have checked everything including the paths and they all look fine.
Any ideas?

Could not open input file: /usr/home/todd/html/cageme/periodic/cmd.php

Well.. should have know this. The job does not run if you are in promotional or "free for all" mode. After changing, coming out out this mode, we noticed the job began to run normally. We looked at the code and sure enough this job is restricted when in free mode.

This sounds like a bug... if this is really the case.

I dont see how being in or out of free mode would result in the inability of cron to open a file:

Could not open input file: /usr/home/todd/html/cageme/periodic/cmd.php

What version of aedating are you running (and patch number)?

I have been having troubles with my cron jobs geting this error every 15 min for the last 3 days !

I am running 4.1 4 have checked and replaced periodic files did take it out of free mode. was hopeing that would work but it did not so I am stating to think there is another bug in aedating Regards Vanessa

Check permissions on your files in periodic... you may need to set them to chmod 755. Also check ownership... may matter depending on what user your cron runs under.

Also, remember, you need to edit the path to your inc directory and header.inc.php at the top of your php files in the periodic directory.
