Thread: Can someone help me with Flashchat?

I am looking for a couple of things....

I have installed FC on aeDating 4.1IQ and it works great.

I'd like to make FC available only when my members log in. As of right now, there is a link on my homepage where anyone can log into chat and use it. I am using the dlt template and I know if I get rid of the link in the header page, it will eliminate the link in all other pages. Is it possible to only change it for page 1????

Also, how do I customize the FC Welcome page to get rid of all of the ads and additional links? Which file am I changing?

#1) If you loaded FlashChat, and the fc.aemod correctly, only registered users on your site will be actually able to login.

#2) Your links should point to /chat/flashchat.php, not /chat/index.php

In fact, index.php should be deleted - it is not needed - see #1 above.

#3) You can make new _header.html files, like _headerXYZ.html, and then change the include in the template for a particular page(s) to instead call that new edited header.
