DEVELOPER Version starting at 2900 EURO1 (about 2680 USD)

SPiN Chat System DEVELOPER allows you to connect the Chat Server to virtually any current database. This is very useful if you already have many users in an existing community or if you plan to have several hundreds of users.
So, maybe the DEVELOPER Version is what would be needed, if you wanted to hook it in to aeDating with profile info, auto-login, and so on. (without re-coding).

Looks like it is a Java app.... some talk about Java runtime environment (JRE/JDK)

Voodoo Chat is a client/server app. Can you run it as a standalone so that is does not allow users to chat on other servers?

The daemon is for one physical server only - it does not allow connections to daemons on other networks. (unless this was recently added, but I don't think so).

If you would like to connect to multiple "networks" or "servers", you can try Dbabble - http://netwinsite.com/dbabble/ It allows connections to multipler servers and networks (like MSN, ICQ, AOL), and it uses the open source Jabber protocol.

It also has a windows .exe application, or a html interface. However, it is not open source - and thus, if you want to make changes, you are limited to the dbabble tag language, or asking the developer to change it.

I have experience with both of these applications (Vochat and Dbabble) if anyone has questions or needs help.

Sorry for being a bit on the stupid side but VooDoo Chat sheem to be a client server app that runs from a local server. Is there a unix version of webbased version? The basick download installs locally and is setup to join the VooDoo chat network.

Is this the right url for voodoo?

    Hmmm....

Not too sure what the connection is between the two voodoo chats...

But the chat that I used in the past, was located here:

    Default Amfichat 2.0.5

Has anyone looked at the Amfichat version 2.0.5? Can the default Flashchat in Aedating be easily upgraded to this? Has anyone tried doing it? I don't know the stability of the program. I just think it looks cool.

Default You might want to look at Flashcoms Chat

You might want to take a look at Flashcoms Chat products. I used those for a while, and they have incorporated a LOT of nice features and plugins. THe ONE thing that disappointed me was the support. I assume that they are selling a lot of their product now, and just don't have the staff to handle all of the support in a timely fashion, but otherwise, the products work well, seem to be very stable, and of course you pay for it. If I had known about this site BEFORE I decided to switch over to different software, I may have stayed with them. I DO have the fully-working software still on my server, just never integrated it into Dolphin. If anyone wants to take a look at integrating it and see what it's like, I'd be happy to try. Send me a quick note here if you want to try it.

Default I've contacted Flashcoms, and waiting...

I've asked Flashcoms to TRY and get their Voice problems sorted out for us. They added a voice mod "Talk Button" that never really worked like we wanted it to. If they can do that, then yes, by all means, we'd like to do that. The software is excellent otherwise, and would make a perfect addition to Dolphin for us. I'll let you know how that goes. By the way, they provide all their source including fla files, so it CAN be customized nicely.
If at first you don't succeed, go to a forum and ask like hell. (Using Joomla 1.5.18, JomSocial 1.6.12, Fully Customized)
