Thread: Affiliate Banners in AE 4 Problem

I don't think I have seen this anywhere, and I have only now just tried the function, under Manage Affiliates - AFF Approve Banners - Manage Banners, when I try to add a banner I get this message ...

"Warning: move_uploaded_file(/home/couplesd/public_html/dating/banners/banner1.gif): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/couplesd/public_html/dating/aff/aff_banners.php on line 164

Warning: move_uploaded_file(): Unable to move '/var/tmp/phpPs5rlT' to '/home/couplesd/public_html/dating/banners/banner1.gif' in /home/couplesd/public_html/dating/aff/aff_banners.php on line 164

I sincerely doubt I will be using AE's affiliate program ... but it would be interesting to know if their system even works!

Have you got write permissions to /home/couplesd/public_html/dating/banners ?

In my opinion , their Affiliate system is not worth anyone's time to figure out and fix. There are MANY good affiliate scripts that you can incorporate within your site and change the look to blend in. Just my 2 cents

Yes - but the truth is, many people expect the aedating AFF to at least have some value... it should at least offer a reasonable level of function. Its something either we (modmysite), or aeWebworks, should improve.

As for AFF software - we have IDEVAFFILIATE working with aeDating, along with our PayPal IPN code - but it can also work with other checkout procedures.
