Thread: New Member Confirmation Emails Hyperlink

I take a look at the script and I guess outlook or some other email client are having problem with converting this code & to this sign & ....

There is a conformation link in inc/admin.inc.php line 227

Try to change that & with this & and try again see what happens...

Go to inc/admin.inc.php

Find This line

Code:

 	$sConfirmationLink	= "{$site['url']}profile_activate.php?ConfID={$ID}&ConfCode=" . urlencode( $sConfirmationCode );

Change it to

Code:

$sConfirmationLink	= "{$site['url']}profile_activate.php?ConfID={$ID}&ConfCode=" . urlencode( $sConfirmationCode );

This worked for me, it took me 2:30 hours to figure it out.......

Well done Anand, I was also having the issues with the email conf code link not working as expected.

I edited as you suggested and all works great now for Outlook Express too. There is nothing worse than people clicking a link and it doesn't work for them, not a great way to start when one joins a new site is it? Join up and the link doesn't work is a bit of a turnoff in my books.

Thanks for taking the 2.5 hours to find the offending code.
