Thread: Bugs in Dolphin v.5.5 Need help with member.php

HI after registering a new user from the sign up page and logging in I get an error in member.php

I was also getting errors in other pages but have fixed them. but this one I haven't had much success with. Can someone please help? Thanks

Do you mean 5.4?

If you have been getting errors on other pages with incorrect syntax I would suggest your database has been corrupted. Have you been tinkering?

If you have a new install for testing, delete your database completely and re-install, that would be the safe way.

This was a fresh install of Dolphin v 5.5 and yes it's out and includes a christmas template. I only installed the script, fixed a few files that were not working properly, but did not add or remove feilds. This script is pretty much the way i installed it.

Geez, they are good, they keep releasing this stuff with bugs galore. Is anyone a wee bit pinged off with Boonex?

You just get one version sorted out and working and then along comes a new version.

Hey, do you happen to have a copy of member.php for 5.4? was there errors in that file? 5.4 and 5.5 are similar. Never mind I seen the error for 5.4 in boonex and apparently that line was fixed in 5.5 but I am still getting an error.

I have purchased scripts in the past. Some sites dont tell you the php code is encripted before you download it and buy it. I would rather have bugs that can be fixed than pay 200 dollars for a code you cant modify. MIPHOTO script, what a joke. I think boonex is great!!! So far only the one error everything except the ocra seems to be working... I dont care much for ocra, I would rather use the phpbb2 forum.

Some who upgraded from 5.3 to 5.4 had some issues. But the original 5.4 member.php seemed fine to me, worked ok.

Did you get it to work?

this is the code from an original 5.4 file

that is pretty much the same line of code i have in member.php.. I still get the same error. I have been at this for 2 days now. I wouldn't even try with 5.4.. there were so many errors. This one seems to have less errors than 5.3 so far, but this member.php is really bugging me and I have the same error in profile edit.php. I had an expert look at it.. Not sure how good he really is, but he builds websites in asp and seems to be a database expert. He made some modifcations to the member.php file but i still get the same error. I think it could be a database error. Who knows.. I wish i knew how to code for real.

No, I didn't get it to work. I tried everything, modifying the line. but still the same error in both member.php and in profile_edit.php. I get the error when I click on the member control panel link, and when i click on ID from the administration panel and which gives me the same error in profile_edit.php
