Default Free dating site: non-members can see all profile data!

    I think here's a bug in v5.3:

I'm running a free site here (www.xuzza.nl), but I don't want non-members/not logged in to see the full profile of members. This is possible now!

When I disable free mode, it all works and a non-member gets a blocking message... but this should also happen when it's a free site!

Has anybody tested this, taken a look into this... or better: has a solution?

    Plz let me know!

go to adminpanel, membership levels in menu, then click the membership you want to edit. F.ex "guest", - delete "view profiles".
    but not use Free site

    Default Tried

Already tried that, but then my members get all this information about having a standard membership, upgrading to promotional membership, affiliate programs on the overview page, etc, etc.

Can't I delete the different membership levels (where?) and just have a guest and a free level in there and then modify what is allowed?

I just liked the fact that all that information is hidden in the free mode!

    Default Nobody?!

Nobody else is dealing with this issue?! I just can't believe that.

I've seen that FreeMode is Disabled in GPLDate R8, but then we still can't edit the membership levels!

Maybe something for GPLdate: start with editable membership levels, of with no membership levels so that all levels need to be added from scratch (I can imagine every site owner like to use its own names for different levels).

I'm stuck with this and it's essential to run my site!

Somebody wants to help me out and PM back and forth to solve my membership problem?

    So...

You are saying you want a little bit of the free mode stuff - and a little bit of the membership stuff (not free mode) - mixed together - so you can have a free site, without the ability for non-members to do stuff - and not have to show your users the membership promo stuff?

    Right?

I think you can do this by turning on FREE MODE again - and adding some membership checks (its easy, a couple of lines of code) to a couple of the files that need this restriction.

    Default Solved very easily!

    Hi Smoge,

Thanks for your answer, but I solved in a much easier way!

I turned off free mode, created a new membership level "FREE" with no limitations and choose chicks for free for both man and woman.

Then I simply assigned the FREE membership to chicks for free

    Smart hah?

    Good idea.

But one question: how did you solve the problem, that in the controll panel the user sees the affiliate program? i did what you did, but can still see it. also unchecking "Enable affiliate support" didn't have any effect.

Can you just outcomment it in the code?

    Looking quickly....

    Check function contr_panel_member_info() in member.php

You can just change the if ( 0 == $free_mode)
to something else (so the code following is skipped)
