Lets end this boonex dolpin catastrophy. Lets get together everybody and create a new 100% open source bug free script with all the mods we would like.

If we use dolphin 6.003 as a base. And hire a top notch programmer who can:

-make the script bugfree
-add all the mods we like
-make it secure- hack secure
-no connection to boonex whatsoever
-maybe add some different styles of templates

When a lot of people have shown interest we can write a project plan that everybody accepts, decide what company to hire, and sign a contract.
The more people we are the cheaper it will be, and if you are interested in a serious secure and reliable software without having to stand for all the expenses yourself this is the perfect solution.

I cant understand why we old user of ae most pay for dolphin license, I pay if I remember rigth $699 for life time upgrade and life time support, and support never come from AE or Boonex, upgrade stop with iq 4.02..... if we ask for support to ae Boonex say download dolphin

Why Smoge, did you not make your own script? your support is always in top, your knowlege is also in top, I think you are abel to make the best script in the maket...

Im very sure when Boonex get a lot of $ then they again will close and come up with some new monny maker, so therefore i will never pay a cent to that company.

Im sure we are many there are willing to pay 500 or 1000 $ for a script from a company we can trust, and that even only for a basic script, all other fancy thing like av chat, forums, gallery, aso we can pay extra for, the importent things is to get some thing there work day after day, is simpel and safe and can handle many user.

I wouldn't even do that. Personally, I take issue with a company taking the same code and constantly switching the "license" to suit their business needs. IMHO a piece of code once GPLd is always GPLd but thats just me. Even the license on their current release, is creative commons and it no where anywhere says I have to pay them (only their website says so)

There are many frameworks available to build something like this on. I have one (Dubbed RocketCMS) plus there's also wordpress, CakePHP, Zend, the list goes on and on. To say they have some big exclusive insight on social networking is to give them too much credit.

Fact is, Although their system produces a decent website, the code is filled with bugs, hacks and poor design. If you've ever even looked under the hood you will see lots of HTML inside their PHP code which makes it all that harder to make custom skins etc, wider or mult-column layouts, etc. I mean, I like it and all but there are better ways
