Thread: Classifieds Expiry

I posted one as a test yesterday. Still 4 hours left so I can't say for sure, but judging from these posts, I expect that it will not expire. How long do yours stay posted? Do they just run for 30 days no matter how long you set it for, or do they run indefinitely?

Another problem I have noticed is that even though I have an ad posted in the classifieds section, my 'Site Stats' box on the front page of the site still says Classifieds: 0

I'm also concerned about the spacing between the "blocks" in IE7. Looks fantastic in Firefox, but when I open IE, the different categories have a lot of empty space in between them. That may just be the template I have loaded. I haven't checked it in the basic boonex uni yet.

So, there's a few different problems I have to straighten out in classifieds right away, and that's before you get into more serious issues like spam control.

I realized that the classified wasn't displaying in the Site Stats because it was awaiting activation. So, not it is active and showing up in the stats, but now I'm curious as to why I was able to view a classified ad that was awaiting admin approval.

Just a quick post here to clarify that my classifed ad did vanish from the classifieds page after 1 day. It remained listed on the front page though, and when I click on that link I am taken to the ad, so it is still lingering around somewhere, but you can't get to it by navigating through the classifieds section.
