    Default Video Player Bug...

Okay, after applying the patch for the 6.0 --> 6.01 update, ran into one problem with the Video Player.

Video's upload fine. (Be sure your php.ini file sizes have been changed from the default 2MB limitation "seems to be a common setting" and your files upload sizes have been changed via admin controls).

Video shows up in your video gallery, but without any icon other than the small red X.

Upon attempting to play the video, I get a "File Not Found" error.

Looked around a bit, and in the Ray/Movie/Files directory, there is a 1_Temp

    Anyone have any ideas?
If at first you don't succeed, go to a forum and ask like hell. (Using Joomla 1.5.18, JomSocial 1.6.12, Fully Customized)

    Default Same problem here

There are a lot of post on the boonex site. I've sent an e-mail but of course, no response.

I have checked the files folder that you mentioned and I don't even have a file listed.

    Default Found the solution, THANKS!

SIMPLE, but they kinda don't mention it, so glad I checked the forums thanks to you. CHMOD friggin ffmpeg.exe to 777. Geeze! Worked like a charm for me.

    Thanks Jax!

Default And btw.. on that file that you said was missing...

The temp file I referred to was the actual video. By chmoding the ffmpeg.exe to 777, it allows it to write the file name from temp.

I really suggest you don't use Windows to host - you will have a better and more standardized experience with Linux hosting (and this does not mean FreeBSD).

This is a general comment - not really related to the bug/problem you are having.

As for the "the small red X" - the key here, to get your troubleshooting started - is to right mouse click on the "X" and do view properties/elements - and see what the URL is for the image/script - this will help with knowing if the paths or permissions are correct.

You can also do a view source in your browser and check the link there.

This will get you started in the right direction.

    I'm on a wk3 box.

did you download the WINDOWS version of ffmpeg and replace the provided files?

The package (and upgrade) ships with an incorrect version. Perhaps the upgrade overwrote your Windows executable?

    Default Thanks for the reply

Yes, it says to put the file in the movie/files folder.... but I don't see how that makes a difference since there wasnt an .exe file in there to start with.
