Dolphin 5.6.0004: Profile fields order messed up

This one is driving me up the wall.

Initially, adding fields to the profile worked fine. I've probably added about twenty, and now the order of the fields has started to go a bit wrong.

I had a field in the wrong place, so I clicked the arrow to move it. Then, the "Contact Details" heading shifted into the wrong place, and suddenly it won't move down past a certain point, and the fields below it won't move up past a certain point.

So, basically, to summarise, moving certain fields doesn't work, they just seem to stay in place. Some will move, but only to a certain point, and refuse to go further. Other fields cannot be moved up past them to push them down either. It's like an invisible barrier between some of the fields that stops them moving. Also, one or two of my fields have jumped into the wrong order.

I can find no common factor or cause for this occurance. I've not removed any fields, only added them. Dolphin gives no error.

Yea - this has been a common issue since aeDating days - the admin panel profile field editor is limited.

You are better off using phpMyAdmin, to edit the fields in ProfilesDesc - while more difficult - you have much more control

Thanks, Smoge. In the end, I decided to write a script that goes into the database and "space out" all the numbers in the order field again, that seemed to fix the problem.

Hi Smoge,

I am having the same problem with my profiles. It seems that some fields I can move up or down with the arrows while some just will not move. Could you please tell me what I must change in phpmyadmin to move these. I have looked at ProfilesDesc and the field in there that needs to be moved but nothing is standing out at me to change that would change its position on the profiles. Your help is greatly appreciated.
