Thread: Make "Featured Photos" and "Featured Videos" appear on the "Homepage"

Hey guys and girls,

I have been getting rather frustrated lately trying to figure out how to the only the featured photos and videos to appear on the homepage of the website that I am working on.

I have tried to move the special blocks from the "Photos Home" and "Videos Home" pages as they are not needed there but I have been unsuccessful. I tried by re-assigning the blocks "bx_photos_special" and "bx_videos_special" in MySQL to the index page but while the blocks now appear on the homepage in the site builder they do not work or even show up on the actual page even though they have been put into the column I want them in.

Any help on this would be great as I need this doing quickly as it is one of the last things that needs doing to the website before it is ready to go fully live.

I am having the same issue. I am using dolphin 7 for a gaming community and it is extremely modified for that purpose, But the structure of the site is still untouched. It would be of great help if someone could explain how to get the "featured videos" on the homepage.. thanks in advance

This isn't something you can do with Dolphin currently but the guy who runs dolphin7themes.com is working on a mod for this, I asked him about it and he's got something almost completed, you can check his site to see it in action on the front page. Currently it's just displaying 1 video at a time but I asked him if he can have it display the usual 8 like the main videos block and hopefully it'll do that when he's finished. If you go register there and tell him you're interested he might want to get it done faster if he knows there are more customers interested in this mod.
