Thread: Customizing Profile page

Okay I am using Dolphin 7.0.2 and I would like to change how the profile page is displayed. I would like for tabs to be displayed and the users videos and sounds displayed under those tabs accordingly. The tabs will be categories of the videos and sounds. Any one have any insight on how to do this.

Go to your admin panel, Builders on the left, Pages Blocks select the profile page from the dropdown box and move them around intill your happy with the look of the page have fun

No thats not what I mean. I want to display the members videos and sounds under tabs on the profile. Dolphin does not allow me to do this and I need a custom script. I just don't know how to call up the video and sounds to be displayed as I want them. Basically I'm trying to write a new profile page. I'm still learning php and dolphin and I just need to know how to call sounds and video.

anybody have a clue? To further explain what I'm trying to do:


new user joins my site. during the signup process the user is asked to pick three genres of music that they will upload content to. The genres are also categories for sounds and videos. I want to display the three genres on the profile page in tabs. When you click on the tab it will display content uploaded to that category by that user. If there is no content to display by that user then it should display all content in that category.

hope that helps explain my project. I have been racking my brain because I don't know how to call up the videos and sounds.

Can anybody help me pls! This is the last thing for me to do on this site and I want to get it done soon so I can move on and get paid! Pls help me!

I am trying to make a custom profile page for my dolphin 7 site (7.0.2).

First I would like to create a new block. For this block the header would contain music genres the user picked during sign up in tabs or separate links. The music genres are the same as categories for sounds and video. Inside the block would be sounds and videos from categories matching the genres uploaded by that user.

So lets say that you come to my site and signup. You will be asked to choose up to three genres that you will upload to. Once you get to your profile page, you will see about mid page a block containing the genres that you picked. Lets say you picked Jazz, Hip Hop and R & B. When you click on Jazz you will see only the videos and sounds you uploaded to the category Jazz. The same with Hip Hop and R&B.

I also would like to make this block as well as the comments block span two columns.
