I would like to expand my site my site, but dolphin seems so buggy, is this just a problem with me?

What kinds of bugs are you running into?

In general, if your hosting is up to par, and you are running a later release of Dolphin, you should be in pretty good shape.

However, once you start adding a lot of 3rd party modifications and so on, you can have various problems crop up.

I have no idea how you develop your site.. but we really suggest using a version control system - like Subversion - for serious sites... It allows you to easily track your code changes (who did what when and why.)

The problem I have are things like this

Members that are not confirmed, end up looking like they are and can post photos etc.

Members that are banned still show up as well

When someone reports a spammer, it does not give a reason why, it would be nice if the text was forwarded.

The only modification I have is one to view the ip number and the real country of the poster.

I so appreciate your comments, you have done this community a good service over the years

also, I would like to do an emaining to all the members, and it looks like it only sends emails to the unapproved members...

do others have these problems?

so finally, others are agreeing, this is one buggy overpriced software that has almost every module incomplete.

Yes... and as you know, support on BoonEx Unity is sub-par... and releases come out without any rhyme or reason.

For example, people complaining for weeks on the official BoonEx Unity support site - about avatars disappearing, or the session table not being pruned, and so on... and other things.

This is why - we are really looking into what we here want to do in regards to Dolphin 7.

Things are up in the air right now, while we make a decision... but right now, it is not looking good.
