Default Hi, how can I add new blocks on a new page?

    Hi all,
This is a great site and I'm very glad couse I've found you guys. I'm totally new on dolphin and I'm wondering if it's possible to get some advices from you. Ok, I got how to make a new page, but when I'm building a new page I have only few blocks available. I mean I only have the HTML block and the RSS block, nothing else, and I'm wondering how can I put some other blocks on a new page. I've noticed that on homepage are much more blocks available, but on a new page I have only html block and rss block.
    Thanks in advance!

You can just make a new page.... search modmysite for "new page" or related.

    For example:

    http://www.modmysite.com/general-iss...stom-page.html

The examples we talk about are more manual - but give you a lot of control (but manual control).

If you want an automated (more or less way), check

    GenDolFAQs - Dolphin - Trac

which has an example of the manual way for 6.x and the "automated" way for 7.x

but in some cases, even doing the manual way in 7.x has it's advantages.

Not sure if that helps or not.

Thanx a lot for answering, I really appreciate it. To be honest, I don't wanna build a dating site, I need more or less something like a custom CMS, and it seems dolphin can do this. Typo 3 would be a perfect solution, but it seems very complicated to work with and I like simple things. Thanks again for answering, and indeed helped me a lot your links!

most of the blocks on home page are html blocks or php blocks the nest way i think to add stuff to a page is add a html block that way you can make the block to your size you want and add pictures to it or video. would need more info for what you want to add to this page for more help
