Thread: Age/Date of Birth Problem... D7

Hi all,

I have been going through every archive I can find on the subject of removing the Date Of Birth option completely from the site...
Not as easy as it sounds lol...
I started by taking the boxes out of the fields and then adjusting the DateOfBirth Box so that it was unlimited age etc...
I then got onto removing it from the searches by painstakingly going through all the html files and removing anything that said (Div Class"Age_From" blah blah blah...
I then found out that the internal mail still carried a Age/DOB style message around the sender avatar again went through the various files and this time took out anything that said ___Member__age_ or ___age___
And now the mail is clear
Now then onto the one thing I have left to clear...
When you first log in, you come to your dashboard screen and it has account control and quick links now under account control it says profile and it has a lil pic of the avatar and then...
OMG! another place where it says "blah blah blah y/o"
All my memebers now have 2010 y/o here as that appears to be the default when u cant set it... lol
Anyways I have been looking through the HTML files forever trying to find something similar to the above to get rid of this "what appears to be the last one"
So if anyone knows how to find kill and destroy this one I would greatly appreciate it...

Have you tried removing all date of births from your sql server it could still be calling it from the server.

look under profiles

Unfortunatly I have already deleted these entries and that's why it suddenly said everyone was 2010 years old? lol
I just know its gonna be a little bit of code just like the others its just a case of which file out of the 5000+ that come with D7 is it in

Not sure what language you are using but try (backup first) your language file under /langs

Also try under your /inc folder it contains alot of that info.

Also maybe under some of the css files in the template
