Thread: linking profile fields

I am wondering if there is a way to link one profile field to another, ex. if i mad a profile type field, if they pic rider, have it linked to type of rider field?

Linked in what way? Need to be more specific.

What I am looking for is, I have profile type, if a new member chooses rider, I want it to link to another field so they can choose what type of rider. if the member chooses byke park, I want it to link to another field so they can choose what type of part, but I dont want riders to see park type and so on. I also plan on setting up account and profile pages for each.

Wer have a modification called Join_Type.... you can open a ticket with us for cost and so on.

Or you can try to do it yourself - the basic idea, is each user has a join_type - which is a value stored in the Profiles table.

As for Profile Fields, they only show, are editable, and so on, for a particular join type. This required changes to the profile fields table, and the underlying profile field code.

So Rider, may be available only to join type #1
And Bike Part, to join type #2
But "Favorite Color" maybe available to both join type #1 and join type #2

The modification is more than just that.... it is database alters and php work.

Maybe beyond your skill ability??
