Default PHPBB Integrated - No Password Recognition In Forum

I tell ya gang, I am just at wits end with this.

I really want phpbb for my Dolphin based community http://www.ederfan.com

I did the install of the forum, I used the Dolphin included to transfer my current 68 users to the database.

There are 2 issues that are killing the whole idea.

One, logging into the community site does not log you into the message board,

Two - NONE of the passwords works.

I am working off the latest version of Dolphin, and am using phpbb V 2.023

You can see that I have added members and integrated (to a degree) here - http://www.ederfan.com/forum.php

If there is anyone that can help me I would so appreciate it - these people HATE Orca and just wont use it.

    Steven

Well I was wrong on one count - a NEW user can login and go to the forum just fine.

Existing users still are denied access on login with the existing Dolphin passwords, and of course they cannot be auto logged in for the same reason.

    Im having a similar problem
Im using a clean dolphin 6.1.4 and the last version oh phpbb2

when a new user joins dolphin his profile is added to phpbb2 in the database
But it looks like his password is geting encrypted again.
So when the password is put in the database for dolphin its encrypted md5 then when its put in the phpbb section its gets encrypted again.
    how do i stop this
also when making the button for the forum link in the nav builder
    what link do i use
    at moment im using /forum/index.php
as i cant seem to get
    aemodule.php/?ModuleType=phpbb or
    aemodule.php/?ModuleType=forum
i have the forum installed in my dolphin dir under forum

There must be a problem in the phpBB module you are using - check the module code in the database for how the password is being added to the database.

Are you sure you are running a 6.1.x compatible version of the phpBB module?

    Hi,

Emails with the link are going out - but there is 10,000 plus to go - and they go out a few at a time ... you should get it shortly.

We did not do any changes / testing to the phpbb module in CLEAN... the module is the the standard code as distributed by Boonex.

    Default phpBB mod

I don't know if you are still intersted in tihs topic but I recently started integrating my dolphin community with phpBB3. After reviewing the mod, I found that several of the fields in the mod phpBB.aemod file didn't match the fields in the phpBB tables. I went through and converted the fields to matching fields and I have the mod working somewhat. Ithink the mod that ships with 6.1.4 may be for phpBB2. I had a similar problem with passwords and it was because the mod was preforming an MD5 hash on the password out of the dolphin DB before inserting into the phpBB user table. basically making it a double MD5 hash, which is not correct. removing the MD5 function from the mod corrected the problem. the only problem I have now is the fact that when a new user registers their account is not propogated to the phpBB tables automatically. If I go into the admin and refresh under modules, then the user is created and all is fine. My question is, "Does anyone know how to make dolphin automatically push this information to phpBB?
